Parametric Optimization and Control Solutions Ltd. “ParOS” , the advanced optimization and control technology company, a spinout from Imperial Innovations Ltd of Imperial College London, announces the following appointments.

Board:

Patrick McHugh has been appointed Executive Chairman. Patrick has experience in a wide range of business areas from manufacturing and new product development to business process re-engineering and e-commerce. He is currently President of the Society of Environmental Engineers and previous directorships include J. Sainsbury and GlobalNetExchange. He was also a Vice President at A.T. Kearny and Managing Partner at Coopers & Lybrand.

Dr Tara Lindstedt has been appointed director of strategy and business development. Tara was previously a director at Salomon Brothers and an executive director at Goldman Sachs. She is a graduate chemical engineer, with nearly 20 years professional experience in the process industries and financial services. Tara brings a wealth of industry contacts to the business.

They join Prof. Stratos Pistikopoulos, a founding director and Chief Executive Officer of PAROS. Stratos is a leading expert in modeling, optimization and control technology and worked for Shell before joining Imperial College where he is currently a Professor in the Chemical Engineering department and leads the Centre for Process Systems Engineering.


Senior Scientific Advisor:

Prof. John Perkins has been appointed senior scientific advisor. One of the original founders of PAROS, he was until recently Principal of the Faculty of Engineering and Courtaulds Professor of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College. He is now Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Manchester.


Advisory Board:

Prof. Costas Pantelides, Prof. Roger Benson and Mr. Dimitrios Alamaniotis have been appointed to the Advisory Board of the company. They bring unparalleled experience in modeling, optimization and control, system production and application of control technologies to industry.
